Ticket & Pass FAQ
Interested in seeing shows at Das Improv Festival? Read on for complete info.
- Buy a Festival/Performer Pass. You’ll get free entry to every regular (non-headline) show after ticketholders are seated. 2/3rds of the seats at each venue will be reserved for passholders, so there will be plenty of capacity. With 5 days of programming on two stages our experience has been that passholders get into the vast majority of shows they want to see, and at the very least are able to see a show at one of our two venues even if the show they want to see is sold out.
If you want to guarantee a seat at a regular show, a limited number of tickets will be available for pre-sales at 9€/each for passholders.
Passholders are also granted one free ticket to one headline show as part of their pass! This ticket must be pre-booked after the pass is purchased. - Buy a ticket to an individual show. We will have between 15-20 tickets for each regular (non-headline) show available for 12€/9€ for passholders.
Headline shows will be entirely ticketed and tickets will be 15€/12€ for passholders.
Festival Passes cost 65€ and include the following:
- Free entry to any show at the festival with availability (ie after a limited number of ticketholders are seated)
- 1 (one) ticket to 1 (one) headline show, which must be booked separately once the pass is purchased (you’ll get a voucher code you can use to book the ticket)
- 3€ discount on pre-booking a ticket to shows if you want to guarantee yourself a seat, non-transferable
- 15€ discount on 1 (one) workshop, non-transferable
- Entry to our closing party on Saturday night
Performer Passes are discounted Festival Passes offered exclusively to Das 2026 performers and include all of the above perks PLUS a festival T-Shirt.
Buy a pass! It includes one free ticket to one of our headline shows Thursday through Sunday night.
Any available tickets will go on sale on September 3rd at 6pm, after all passholders have had an opportunity to book a ticket. Otherwise, we will have a waitlist available before each headline show, but please be aware that it is unlikely we’ll have capacity. We will be limiting the size of the waitlist to prevent overcrowding outside the venues and to encourage you to see other shows at the festival!
This may not be possible. With a Festival or Performer Pass, you’re granted one free ticket to one headline show. We made this decision due to overcrowding outside our venues in years past. We felt that offering passholders a guaranteed seat at a headline show was a fair compromise. No more waiting in line and worrying about getting a seat!
If we still have capacity for a headline show, we will open up ticket sales for that show to anyone (both general public and passholders) on September 3rd at 6pm local time. If a headline show is sold out, you’ll then need to try your luck on the waitlist, but please be aware that it is unlikely we’ll have capacity. We will be limiting the size of the waitlist to prevent overcrowding outside the venues and to encourage you to see other shows at the festival!

No! You do not need to buy a pass to perform in the festival or even to see some shows. Performers without a pass will get free rush entry to shows after all ticketholders and passholders have been admitted (e.g. you’ll be admitted if there is still room after everyone is seated). All performers are also invited to our closing night party and picnic. We want all performers to be able to participate in as much of the festival as possible while still balancing our financial obligations.
We have tried to keep prices as low as possible but running a 5 day festival isn’t cheap! As a non-profit, you can rest assured that 100% of our income goes to making Das Improv Festival happen – this includes compensating our headliners/workshop instructors, paying our venues and paying the myriad taxes and fees associated with producing a festival, among many other things.
