Ever been in a scene and realized that all you did was sit and talk to your partner, or never quite made the location work for you? Well, get out of your head and into your body! This workshop is meant to make you incorporate physicality through object work and space work to help us find game in nuanced and inspired places. Also, through engaging with your body, we’ll explore intention and emotion in scene work, which will lead to dynamic and exciting scenes.

Instructor:

Oscar Montoya

Oscar Montoya is an actor, comedian, and hip hop dancer living in Los Angeles. He won a Critics Choice award for his work as Richie in the HBO/Starz series Minx, and played Oscar the Garbage Man in the A24 film Dicks: The Musical. He is also a host of the podcasts “Inside the Disney Vault,”, “Eurovangelists”, “Spanish Aquí Presents”, “Drag Her” and “Podcast Killed the Video Star.” He is a teacher and performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and performs in improv teams Pisces and Rita Repulsa
